At the invitation of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority (HAEA), a delegation of nuclear experts from the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Mr. Sardorbek Yakubekov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Uzbekistan, visited Hungary from 24 to 25 November 2025.
Ms Andrea Beatrix Kádár, President of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority (HAEH), held a working lunch meeting with Mr Hua Liu, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on November 13, 2025. Mr Liu was visiting Budapest at the invitation of the HUN-REN Energy Research Centre. During the meeting, the parties reviewed the future priorities of the IAEA's technical cooperation programme, touching on domestic challenges, possible areas of training, and coordination tasks for cooperation.
